Read" is when a scanner cannot read a barcode label on a carton. This can result
from a number of things such as; damaged label, poor print quality, box orientation,
etc. Some "No Reads" are expected in every system. However a constant stream of
cartons that cannot be read is a serious problem! With consecutive "No Reads," the
QC Enterprise WCS can take immediate, corrective action such as stopping the system
and sending an alert message to operations and/or maintenance personnel."

The most important aspects of WCS for major distributors include dependability,
modular functionality, configurable flexibility, and reliability. WCS is more
dependable because.it uses standardized modules that are field proven, versus
